DJ CitiLyts Dragged For Allegedly Stealing Malambane

DJ CitiLyts Dragged For Allegedly Stealing Malambane! DJ CitiLyts recently dropped his Ambitious Entertainment star-studded track called Malambane which features Emtee, Kid Tini, S.Villa, La Sauce & Blaq Diamond. The song has been doing great since it dropped almost a week ago.
An independent and upcoming artist called Toto Mboto tweeted a couple of days after the song dropped claiming that he had made the original song. Toto Mboto released the visuals to his track titled Umalambane in August last year and it reached a little over a thousand views.
All the hard work for you @Ambitiouz_Ent @CitiLyts_DJ ???? pic.twitter.com/c3bAvfW9Hn

It was only a matter of time before SA Hip Hop fans caught up with the situation and take their toll on the matter. Although some Hip Hop fans dragged DJ CitiLyts, his loyal fans protected him showing blind allegiance. One fan tweeted “Eh joe I don’t care whose song it is, the thing is I enjoy listening to CITI’s music & his crew including ATM”.

To be honest, citi lyts did his hood dirty. You can’t jack a track from your hood to rep for your hood. Unfortunately, he’s gonna get away with this, because he didn’t do a direct copy of the original. No copyright infringement. Its the nature of the music business, cut throat.
