Top 10 S.A Hip Hop Videos Of 2015.

Hip Hop has been on a rise and seems it will not stop. The genre was arguably the most lucrative genre in the country in 2014 and since have been producing some of the best videos the continent has seen this far. There’s new rappers coming from all directions and they all go hard as well.

10. Gigi Lamayne – Ice Cream [ft Khuli Chana]

The hit song which was produced by the Mix Masters has been a problem since coming on to the scene. The visuals are great because they are exactly what you think they should be when listening to the audio. Gigi definitely is one female rapper who can compete with our male rappers:

9. DJ Cleo – Ugogo [ft Lection, Duncan, iFani]

The inspiration for the song comes from O.T Genesis’ Coco. The hit is about a young guy who is inlove with a old woman/ an older woman. The rappers show much humor and was a great DJ Cleo come back:

8. Kid X – Se7en [ft Nomuzi]

This club banger was the introduction of Nomoozi to the music industry and we must say she killed it as much as she does with her presenting. Kid X has the dopest punchlines with his deep voice delivering the vocals. The video depicts the the audio which is a beautiful thing:

7. WTF – Nomusa

This song has been bumping up in the clubs and is the ultimate turn up song. Nomusa is about not falling for the ratchet track. The WTF click just came on the scene with a bang. The video is fresh and and clean as well.

6. DJ Speedsta – Special Somebody [ft Anatii, Cassper Nyovest, Ricky Rick]

This smash hit has is the ultimate summertime jam. The features say it all and the beat was on point like eye circles. Anatii killing the hook and the two rappers Cassper & Ricky Rick killed the verses. The video is just a cool vibe.

5. Dream Team – Whats Your Name [ft Donald & Naq Music]

The RnB/ Hip Hop vibe was definitely a club smash and is still doing the rounds. This video has a sexy vibe to it, very bright colors running through the video.

4. AKA – Sim Dope

This video is just on another level. It takes us through the life of the baller that is AKA. The swag and the super megacy in the visuals matches up to the talk. Sim Dope is an amazing song with visuals that match up to the audio.

3. Cassper Nyovest – Ghetto [ft Anatii, DJ Drama]

Ghetto has been pumping hard in the clubs and on our screens since the day the video was released. DJ Drama was in the video doing, well what DJ Drama does lol. The Ganster Grills Dj gave a couple shout outs to the people on the song and the song. Anatii held down the hook making it hella catchy and Cassper slaying the verses as that has become his standard.

2. Ricky Rick – Boss Zonke

Boss Zonke is a benchmark for videos in 2015. This video had scenes that you can not get if you were in any other country on earth. The video was shot in Durban and has a feel off its own compared to any other video on this list.

1. K.O – Skhanda Love[ ft Nandi Mgoma]

Skhanda Love has a very cinematic video that tells the story that was already told in the lyrics visually. The music video tells a story of a young couple that is willing to stick together through any storm that comes their way. The visuals were scripted well and manage to tell a vivid story in only 4 minutes.
