In 2018, he won the talent show Rap 4 Me and became the first artist signed to Emtee’s label Emtee Records. Speaking to MyDM Podcast Lolli shared how it was meeting Emtee at the talent-search reality show Rap 4 Me.

There were five thousand other n*ggas, so it was a competition and people needed to be eliminated until there was one,” he said. “Five thousand is a lot of people, so the last one was performed for a crowd, now that’s the one im not gonna lose, everything else was a challenge, but the last one was letting the crowd judge.”

On his first encounter with Emtee during the competition, Lolli Native said; “the competition ran for a good six months, a long time and I remember I never spoke to him throughout the whole competition.”

“So for me it was like, im not gonna have a convo with him until I win, so after the competition, after winning, I pulled up backstage like yo what’s up, I kept it cool as well, he doesn’t say much, I don’t say much,” said Lolli Native.

Lolli Native went on to say that Emtee gave him a call which then led to the two discussing him being part of Emtee Records. “He gave me a call the following week, I forgot about the competition because im back at the grind,” he said.

After being signed at Emtee Records, Lolli Native featured on Emtee’s third studio album LOGAN in 2021 on the songs ‘Laqhasha’ and ‘Brand New Day.’ Right now, the rapper is currently making waves with his first album Ivangeli under the record label. The album consists of 11 tracks with Emtee featuring on 3 songs; Luthando, Unobubele and Nyanga.
