How did the beef start?

We were friends man but I was a youngin in the game at the time and when I started getting my own success it got funny.

How did the beef manifest itself?

The funny thing is it was all social media, sub-tweets and then I gave him a call but he didn’t answer. We later spoke and I told him that I wasn’t talking about him. He was just like go your way and I’ll go my own. At one point his friend had a gun to my face and I just turned around then walked away.

Talk to us about Fill Up The Dome, how big is that?

20 000 people man. It’s the same magnitude as Madison Square Garden and Golden Circle has already sold out. It’s the first time in African history for someone to play that venue, the only person that filled it was U2. Chris Brown just did like 13 000 people and we are trying to do 20 000.

It’s interesting to see a lot of House Music coming out of South Africa?

That’s what speared and pioneered South African music for a while. The House scene is really huge in South Africa and that’s the sound. Only of late Hip Hop is starting to come up because of the new school cats.

What does Cassper Nyovest mean?

Cassper comes from the cartoon, the friendly ghost. Rappers are known to be up tight and cocky but I’m friendly even though I rap. Nyovest is a word I made up and I had too put a surname when creating my Facebook profile so I just put Nyovest.
