Channel O Not Showing L-Tido’s Dlala Kayona Any Love
L-Tido dropped his hit single Dhlala Ka Yona which caused a frenzy when it dropped and was the most played song on SA radio at the time. When the rapper dropped the music video the singles buzz was amplified and we saw the video reach 100 000 views in 5 days.
Some thought the song shouldn’t be played on t.v but it didn’t make sense because we have seen the DSTV music channels play videos like Bands by Juicy J whose explicity is clearly on the same level as Dhlala Ka Yona so the fans figured the track would air. The track did air but Channel O has discriminated the video because of the strip club scenes which makes sense so Tido decided to edit the video specifically for them but the video still didn’t air.
L-Tido has finally reached his breaking point and decided to ask Channel O why his video isn’t being played to only find that the fans have been wondering the same thing. “I really don’t understand why @ChannelOTV is still not playing the #DlalaKaYona video! Even after we gave them a clean version SMH” said Tido via his Twitter account. “I re-edited the video twice specifically for @ChannelOTV. I removed all the explicit scenes … But they still not playing the video!”
