Moozlie Reveals Financial Challenge That Comes With Being An Independent Artist

Moozlie Reveals Financial Challenge That Comes With Being An Independent Artist. Being an independent artist is not an easy task and artists who take the independent route often find themselves having to jump through hoops just to make it in the game. Rapper Moozlie has shared with her fans and followers, the one major responsibility that comes with being your own boss. When you are an independent artist all your career needs, including payments are taken care of by you.

Moozlie shared a tweet, where she expressed that being an independent artist means that you are constantly owing someone money. “Being an independent artist means you owe atleast one person money for something,” read her tweet. The Vatel rapper went on to add that there’s always someone that she needs to pay, without mistake. “Like njalo nje there’s someone that you need to pay, like absolutely no mistakes,” she added.

Moozlie has been an independent artist for a few years and has released a few projects as an independent artist. The award-winning rapper often shares with her followers the highs and lows of her journey. In a recent interview with Ms Cosmo on POPradio, Moozlie shared that being an independent artist has made her understand the situation with her former label, Cashtime Records better. “I think that with time and also being an independent artist, I’ve come to understand a little bit more about why things happened the way they happened and it wasn’t as malicious and as hard and weird as everybody wanted it to be.”

Moozlie previously shared that she glamorize independence, as a way of being positive on her journey. “I think I’m a bit guilty of glamorising independence. Not because I’m tryna hide anything, but because I really believe in myself & I’m just tryna stay positive. Stay focused on the good things that I’m blessed with daily & just keeping my eyes on goals I set from the beginning,” she tweeted. Moozlie may show off the glamourous side of being independent but she is not blind to the facts.

Moozlie has previously shared that being an independent artist is not for everyone, as some artists work better when they have a team that handles everything, so the artist can focus on the music. “With that being said, being independent isn’t for everyone. A lot of artists thrive with a team that does almost everything but make the music for them. If it works you then good on you”.
