AKA The Only African Artist On BBC 1Xtra’s Hot For 2016 List
At this point there is no question about who the biggest SA Hip Hop artist on the continent and the world is. The Supa Mega has made massive strides towards becoming the biggest Hip Hop export from the continent in the last 3 years.
1Xtra has just released the list of the hottest new talent for 2016 which is selected by 1Xtra DJs and staff. Considering they’ve foretold the success of acts like Lady Leshurr, Tinie Tempah and Stormzy – to name but a few – it’s safe to say they know what they’re talking about!
This years list features the like of Bryson Tiller, Bugzy Malone, Kiko Bun and so many more international acts. AKA is also on this years list and is the only artist from Africa on the list which just goes to show the level at which the Supa Mega is playing at.
