Priddy Ugly Explains The Delay In The Release Of “Win” Music Video

The award-winning rapper released MUD EP, which had a huge influence on the game, with the music videos adding weight to the project. From the EP, Priddy Ugly released two music videos for 1632 and 30 Minutes To Soweto and he is aiming to release more this year.

Taking to Twitter, Priddy Ugly explained the reasons behind the delay of Win music video release. The rapper said that he shot the Win music video on the same day as 1632 but the quality of the video was not satisfying.

By the way, we shot the video for ‘WIN’ last year in the same weekend that we shot the ‘1632’ Visualiser. Honestly I thought it kinda sucked & the standard hadn’t matched or beaten the quality of some previous videos. Other artists might’ve still dropped it, I couldn’t do that…” He tweeted.

The rapper said that compiling the video to match the required standards was a nightmare hence there was no other option but to reshoot. Not only has he had to suffer the creative aspect of the music video shoot, but Priddy Ugly also had to endure the financial constraints that came with reshooting the video.

Putting it together was a bit of an administrational nightmare, from aligning everyone’s schedules, to logistics – ultimately the energy around the song was affecting its potential impact. Re-shooting was an option, but I had already taken a financial L on that one.” Priddy Ugly added in a tweet.

The rapper seems to be in his bag once again this year as he has hinted at an album release this year. With the Win music video on the way, Priddy Ugly’s fans might be in for a real treat in 2023.
