AKA Defends His Use Of Auto-Tune! There has been a lot of talk about the use of auto-tune in AKA’s music over the years. A lot of SA Hip Hop fans feel like it takes away from his authenticity.
The rapper addressed this issue in an interview with Anele saying “But I’ve used auto-tune since the first song that I’ve ever put out, I’ve been using auto-tune since victory lap, you see that stuff comes from twitter guys”. He blamed the comments on bitter fans that maybe wanted a photo with Mega but could not get one.
AKA is very clear about the use of auto tune in his music saying that he uses it on all of his songs. He went on to say that people don’t judge rappers like Travis Scott and Kanye West. He was very confident and unmoved by the comments SA Hip Hop fans pass about his use of auto tune.
