“I’m not dumb as people think I am” – Emtee Addresses Naysayers. Emtee has become the darling of South African hip-hop due to the powerful and inspiring message he expresses via his songs. Despite having a large fan following, the multi-award-winning rapper has received a great deal of criticism over incidents in his personal life.
Emtee asserted that despite his efforts to mind his own business, he has been treated with a great deal of contempt. Taking to Instagram, the Roll Up hitmaker said that he is not dumb as most people think he is. Emtee indicated that he does a lot of work in the music industry behind the scenes and people should show him the much-deserved respect.
“I’m busy working on my album. Feeling sorry for the people speaking on my name loosely. Also Crazy how people think I’m down bad when I’m a label myself, I’m a publisher, ghostwriter, producer and a musical genius. My kids get the best education and I’m taking care of families. Not just mine,” he wrote.
Emtee also added that he is neither a mobster nor an ignorant individual. The rapper added that he is expecting fake love once his DIY 3 album drops.
“I be acting goofy n all but I’m not as dumb as people think I am. I keep to myself, Ion ask no n**a for sh*t, I stay out the way and still get disrespected. I may be quiet, humble and timid but when my name come up, you put some respect on it. 🤷🏽♂️ I’m not gangster, not a thief or a fake n**a. #DIY3 coming soon tho. In another Instagram post, Emtee shared an old picture of him with a big smile on his face, but he expressed that it’s now a thing of the past. The rapper alluded that he has gone through a lot and that he dont see any reason to smile like he used to. “Been thru so much I don’t smile anymore,” he wrote.
