Jamie XX is known as a solo act and as a member of the London based band The xx. Jamie XX was born Jamie Smith on 28 October 1988 in London, England. He is signed to Young Turks Records. He composed the score for a ballet, Tree of Codes, commissioned by Manchester International Festival for its 2015 edition. He has been recognized with a 2016 Grammy Award nomination in the Best Dance/Electronic Album category for his album In Colour.
