Proverb Talks About Watching Hip Hop Grow, How He Has Evolved And His Dreams For Hip Hop Video
Proverb is one of the best writers to ever come out of Africa period. The rapper has written several albums that contain way too much knowledge for you to totally understand everything on your first listen.
Proverb is an author more than anything. In this interview Proverb talks about how he considers himself an author and a conceptual writer. “ Ten years down the line, for one I have come of age you know, I am 10 years older than I was and also I am a lot clearer on who I am as a creative I know what it is I want to achieve with my work.”
“ I had a dream for Hip Hop and you can imagine how fulfilling it is to see many of those come to life. Many want to believe that you prophesised it when truth is I didn’t, truth is it was the inevitable because Hip Hop was such a strong force back then it was only a matter of time and it’s a great to be a part of it and watch it evolve” says Proverb.
