Scoop Makhathini on SA Hip Hop Division – “Hip Hop is a contact sport”

YFM DJ Scoop Makhathini has always proved to be a bit of a philosopher when it comes to Hip Hop through an expression of what he thinks makes and destroys it.

Lately the presenter raised an interesting topic of how Hip Hop is a contact sport and how its artists cause the division that exist.

“People are really about supporting good artists and watching Mzansi reach a world class standard…It is the artists that introduce the divide. And Hip Hop is a contact sport. Unavoidable.” he tweeted.

A lot of people agreed with Scoop and stated reasons in rerfenece to Riky Ricky’s Cotton Festival which was aimed at celebrating and brining about unity amongst Hip Hop musicians.
