How SA Rappers Reacted To The Announcement Of Lockdown Stage 2

How SA Rappers Reacted To The Announcement Of Lockdown Stage 2. This past Friday President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed the nation on the issues concerning the Covid-19 pandemic.

As expected the highlight for most people was the lift of the alcohol and cigarette ban. But not everyone was impressed by the speech.

The country is currently on stage 2 and still some South African rappers feel side-lined. It has been 5 months since a number of artists couldn’t regulate income. The pandemic prohibits crowded events, which means artists had limited to no gigs at all.

Speaking on the disregard of artists AKA once said : “If we don’t do something serious, the arts will also be a casualty of this pandemic,” wrote Mega. “Now, in that interim period of national disaster. what will lets say, a singer(who uses auto tune btw…tell his bank who demand car and house payments/ or tell staff who need salaries?” He questioned.”

Stage 2 allows family visits, gigs only limited to 50 people per venue and Gyms will open.
