WATCH: Common Feat. Stevie Wonder “Black America Again”
Common has always been one to touch our hearts through his music. He just released a very moving music video for a single titled “Black America Again.”
The “Black America Again”music video begins with footage of the Alton Sterling that sets the tone and mood for a montage of mourning black Americans. The video expresses and communicates Common’s urgency in his lament for the cycle of violence and oppression that Black America experiences on a daily basis.
“Trayvon will never get to be an older man / Black children, their childhood stole from them,” he raps.
And to pull off such a great piece of course you need an all-star team behind the scenes, Karriem Riggins and Robert Glasper forming part of the production team, bass by Esperanza Spalding, and ad-libs by Chuck D and MC Lyte.
“Black America Again” is set to be on Common’s next album, which will include features from John Legend, Anderson .Paak, The Internet, Jay Electronica, and so many more.
