He is best known for being part of the alternative hip hop group, Das Racist. The American rapper, Heems was born Himanshu Kumar Suri on 6 July 1985 in Queens, New York. He is the founder of an independent record label, Greedhead Music. He starred in Tanuj Chopra’s 2016 film Chee and T, which premiered at the LA Film Festival. In January 2011, Rolling Stone magazine named him at number 11 on its list of “50 Top Tweeters in Music”.
