“I miss my brother” – Minister Fikile Mbalula On AKA. It’s now close to four months since AKA and his friend Tibz were assassinated in Durban on Florida Road outside the Wish Restaurant. The rapper’s passing has been nothing but daunting mostly to his fans, family and friends.

The Supa Mega’s death was not only a stub on a soft spot for his music followers and ordinary people in South Ah, but people in high offices were wrecked by the news of the rapper’s passing. Taking to Twitter, Minister Fikile Mbalula expressed that his missed AKA. “I miss my brother AKA Kiernan Forbes this Monday morning,” tweeted Minister Fikile Mbalula.

Fikile Mbalula’s remarks triggered most of his Twitter followers as they accused the ANC government of not making an effort to make any arrests since the incident. AKA and Mbalula had a good relationship and the latter once appeared on AKA’s Braai Show.

Speaking on eNCA. after the news of AKA’s death broke, Fikile Mbalula said that the rapper was assassinated and it was a clear hit. He also added that the government believe in the police force to work on the case and arrest the killers.

“We can’t make speculations at the moment, but what we know and have seen is it was a hit, AKA was assassinated. We believe in the capacity of the police to dig deep and get the killers. Also, get to the bottom of why [the motive]. He wasn’t a drug lord, he was a musician,” Mbalula said.

“The family has expressed gratitude to the police for their professionalism. We leave everything in the hands of the law. Anyone with information must work with the cops and provide information so we can find these killers.”
