There’ve been a lot views regarding the state of SA Hip Hop, some say the quality has dropped over the years, others say it’s losing its originality. These views don’t always come across as pleasant to rappers trying to elevate the game.

One of the rappers who rarely engages in controversial statements regarding SA Hip Hop PDoto felt compelled to react to an opinion of how SA Hip Hop will never polish it’s way to reach an international level.

Some of the people to attack negative views about SA Hip Hop was AKA who expressed what he thought of claims that SA hip hop is dead.

“My take is that SA Hip Hop has been around for like 15/10 years now. Let’s start there. How do you erase that in a year?,’ started Mega. He then went on to brag talking about how he is at the top of the charts on radio at the moment and has been holding SA Hip Hop down” wrote Mega supporting the notion that SA hip hop is growing.
