‘We Can’t Enter ‘Love Girls’ Album For SAMA’s’ Says Reason! The SAMA’s 2018 are on their way with artists submitting their music for nomination ever since the announcement.
We have seen some artists like Cassper Nyovest snubbing the awards whilst some are being denied the option. “So. It’s 2018 and @TheSAMAs have rejected #LoveGirlsAlbum as an entry into #Sama24 because it was a DIGITAL release with no PHYSICAL COPIES?” tweeted Reason.
Reason dropped his Love Girls Album early last year with no physical copies but on most digital platforms. For this reason the SAMA’s will not accept the project as a nominee. He argued that digital sales had opened the way for artists like Dj Cleo and asked why it couldn’t be the same for him.
Reason took on the voice of Hip Hop and spoke on behalf of the entire genre. “Please be the progressive @TheSAMAs you’ve always been to us, when you included cellphones downloads/purchases and RBT’s into your equations, and it was all @djcleo1 needed to change the game. Y’all recognised him then. Recognise us now. Yours Truly, HIP HOP,” tweeted Reason.
