Having been in the game for a while working with A-Reece, Jay Jody has also attained a good reputation in the SA Hip Hop with most reputable artists considering working with him on their music. However, Jay Jody’s association with A-Reece has reportedly, in part, worked against him, with certain artists purportedly viewing him as a fallback option when they are unable to collaborate with A-Reece.

Taking to Twitter (X), one of Jay Jody’s fans remarked that some artists use the former when they can’t get a collaboration with Reece. “lol n*gg*s use Jay Jody if they can’t get a Reece feature,” read the post. In response, the Revenge Is Sweet chanter agreed with the claims stating he’s going to consider being a talented songwriter.

“Eisan … you’re right , I should stop being a talented songwriter too, this is ridiculous now … sneaky ma’fuckaz! *smh*,” Jay Jody said. The Pretoria-based rapper has been one of the most active SA rappers recently, having collaborated with a slew of artists in the game.

His impact and collaborations have not gone unnoticed with his recent contributions to other artists’ songs such as Nyota Parker’s, Coco Brown Tkay, and Red Button amongst others.
