Da L.E.S Reveals Why He Doesn’t Answer Bongani Fassie’s Phone Calls. Da L.E.S, a SA rapper, tossed precaution to the wind after he revealed to his fanbase that he had a fall out with Bongani Fassie, someone who he grew up with and helped him to kickstart his hip hop career. The two have been together as friends for a long time before they decided to split. They used to be in a band group that was called Jozi, which then disbanded years ago.
During an interview with Nomalanga Shozi on BET Behind The Story, North god revealed the reason why he is no longer communicating with Bongani Fassie let alone answering his phone calls. “I don’t have anything bad to say about Bongz to be honest.”
L.E.S was then asked why he doesn’t answer Bongani’s phone calls even though he mentioned there is no bad blood between him and his long time friend. “I don’t answer his phone calls, because I just think where I am in my life is completely different to where I was you know, mind, body, soul you know its nothing personal.”
Da L.E.S further mentioned that despite him not answering Bongani’s phone calls, he do sent him the messages emphasizing that there is no beef between the two. “I sent him the messages I said you know, when you are in your life where I am are completely different you know what I mean but I always have the utmost love and respect because like I said I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for his help you know what I mean.”
The rapper also went on and shed light on Bongani’s wellbeing indicating that he needs to heal and take care of himself more. “I think from a distance Bongz need to still heal properly he has a lot of healing to do and I think that he needs to just be a little bit more honest, just healing and self-awareness if you wanna call it that,” he said. Da L.E.S also mentioned that the last time he talked to Bongani was back in 2019 when Crazy Lu passed away.
