Tshego Opens Up About His Battle With Depression

Musician and producer Tshego has lately made the list of South African stars who have been brave enough to come out in the open about their battles with the silent killer – depression.
The Vibe singer took to twitter to explain his absence in music, stating that he refuses to come back in sight and pretend like he wasn’t at his lowest.
“I refuse to come on here and laugh and tweet to keep my engagement up when I honestly don’t feel like that inside.”

This wasn’t the first time Tshego had gone through depression, earlier last year he also took to twitter to express how fellow rapper Riky Rick helped him through a difficult time of depression.
“A few years back I was stuck in some deep depression – not trying to get out of bed, not trying to work, in tears for no reason. On top of that I was so involved in hard drugs I’d be up four days straight. If it wasn’t for a text Riky Rick sent to tell me to stop slacking and decide if I want to be successful or not, I don’t know if I’d have started the journey to getting better,” he wrote.
