Mos Def Arrested By SAPS For Using Fake Documents

The legendary rapstar Mos Def whose real name is Yasiin Bey has been arrested in South Africa. Then rapper is said to have been using a fake passport to get into the country and the rapper was arrested on Thursday.

The rapper has been living in Cape Town since 2013 and according to reports the artist will be deported back to the USA as he was in the country illegally. “He was arrested yesterday [Thursday] 14 January 2016 at 11am and he is expected to appear in Bellville court today [Friday} on Immigration Act-related charges,” Constable Noloyiso Rwexana said according to eNCA.

The Home Affairs spokesperson  Mayihlome Tshwete confirmed the incident on Twitter.
