The previous week the famed female rapper dropped Mandingo music video which was a rude awakening that Gigi is still in the game to claim the throne.

Gigi has now promised to bring more of the heat. The rapper is now set to release another track ‘Mashonisa’ with the powerhouse of women in the music industry in Makhadzi and Busiswa. What she started as a Tiktok challenge is now poised to become one of the biggest songs in the country.

The rapper took to Instagram and revealed that load-shedding propelled the idea of the #MashonisaChallenge and that’s how she decided to make a song out of it. The rapper shared a video on his Instagram stories captioned; “How it became a song 😂 Loadshedding had me like 😩 #MashonisaChallenge.”

The rapper is yet to prove again that she is one of the best female rappers dead or alive. Lamayne’s smash album “Mermaids And Stuff” dominated the scene last year. The project garnered positive feedback and this time around she has a task at hand to maintain the status quo in SA hip hop.
