SA Rappers React To Cassper’s Cover Of HHP’s ‘Harambe’! This past weekend Cassper Nyovest was one of only two rappers to be featured on the Global Citizen’s Stay At Home Concert. The other rapper being Common.
Cassper had prepared two songs but because of time only one was aired. The featured song was his own hit Malume and the one that didn’t make it on air was a cover of one his hip hop idols, HHP’s ‘Harambe’. Cassper later shared the beautiful stripped down cover on social media leaving Jabba fans and SA rappers all up in their feelings.
Cassper expressed how he wishes they had chosen to play Harambe instead because of the message it carries. “I had prepared this performance of this classic cause the message in this song is soooo important and fitting. RIP to Jabba ! Love you forever,” Cassper tweeted.
