Riky Rick Speaks On Unfinished Project With Bra Hugh! It has always seemed like Riky Rick and Hugh Masekela had an extra ordinary relationship because of their posts of each other.
“Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to complete our project and that is sad” said Riky Rick. Apparently the 2 were working on a project together on a Joy Of Jazz feature called The Out Of The Blue earlier last year. They had to stop because of an eye surgery Bra Hugh had to go through.
This was an attempt at making cross-generational music that reminds the youth where they come from. The rapper paid tribute to the late Hugh Masekela on social media saying that South Africa has lost gravely.
”Cant describe how sad I am by the passing of Uncle Hugh Masekela. A true OG of the music industry and a mentor to young minds all over the world. Its very rare for older artists to embrace youngers but Hugh did that for me and I will always be grateful. Thank you for everything you stood for and thank you for bringing joy and happiness to so many people at home and abroad. Your legacy will live forever and ever. REST IN PEACE” said Riky Rick.
