Jay Jody Responds To Nota’s Claims That He Is Riding On A-Reece’s Clout

Jay Jody‘s song collaborations with A-Reece have generated the impression that he is riding on the gravitas of the latter, who has a cult-like audience. Nota has been the one who has been at the forefront accusing Jay Jody of not standing on his own as an artist.

Responding to Nota‘s claims Jay Jody said; “that’s my family n*gga of course yeah, I don’t know how you were raised, but we are family we do everything as a family my brother, you are supposed to take care of your family,” he said.

Jay Jody went on to say that many underestimate Reece’s intelligence. He said that the Paradise hitmaker was the one who proposed they collaborate on an album. “People think all these things I’m the mastermind or something. First of all, you all underestimated how clever A-Reece is because he was the one that came to me and said bro we are about to do a f*cking collabo tape or something, and I was like no, it’s not gonna be a collabo tape that’s gonna be an album.” He said.

Adding on Nota’s claims, he said; “If he says I’m riding on that of course its fine, that’s my brother, why the hell not? If I was in that position, I would wanna do that too, and I would want you to do it for your family too Nota. If you have a sibling out there who is trying to be in the game, teach them how to be a manager.

“Let them ride on your name bro because you are such a big name, let them come and say yeah I’m Nota’s brother and create their own thing. But because you are a selfish guy maybe, I don’t know, that’s how you think and its okay that’s how you were brought up maybe as a man or as a guy. But for me that’s my family I will do the same thing for him, and he will do the same thing for me. My dad would want this, my mom wants this so we don’t care about you brother.”

Jay Jody has been a part of the conversation in South African hip hop following the release of QUINCY JONES FREESTYLE, which has received a lot of attention.
