“I Wish For A Healthier Environment Than Hip Hop” Says Blaklez! On Friday morning, we saw a twitter war between Blaklez and Dj Maphorisa develop from what seemed to be nothing. This had the rapper talking about resigning from Hip Hop.
“Wish I had been given the talent to play instruments. Would gladly trade my way with words for that. It seems a healthier environment to work than hip hop. I put my life in these rhymes so any type of disrespect could trigger a terrible reaction,” tweeted Blaklez. This was after Maphorisa and Blaklez had exchanged bitter tweets.
Blaklez is one of SA Hip Hop’s best lyricists and his resignation from Hip Hop will definitely have an impact on the culture. The rapper expressed how he wouldn’t like to be in an industry beef because of his child whilst responding to a fan.
