‘I Chose To Stop Rapping,’ HHP On Encounter With Hawks! HHP has had a rather long and prosperous career in SA Hip Hop so far. The rapper is set to drop his last album on the 16th of June and he has just revealed why he decided to stop making music.
According to HHP, the Hawks are the ones who opened his eyes after a Back To The City performance in 2016. After a fan had asked him to release music comparing him to other rappers like Jay Z and Nas who are still releasing music, HHP responded sharing an unpleasant situation he has encountered and seemed to blame it on racism.
“Those niggas (except Eminem) don’t know what I know. They’re capture puppets. Toys. I am a mouth piece. A literal voice of the people. After my visit by the #Hawks 2 years ago & the warning I got; I chose to STOP rapping. You don’t want the truth. You can’t handle the truth,” read Jabba’s tweet responding to the fan.

He went on to tweet “The #hawks claimed my performance at Back 2 The City 2016 provoked violence & I was accused of being high on cocaine. I went to do a drug test. Results show I was positive for Cannibus ONLY! #Herbalist100%. They wanted me to go to their REHAB. To test me there. #ThankGod4MyLawyer.”
