Yanga Gives An Insight Into His Musical Journey! Yanga is a name that started gaining major recognition back in 2014 by the SA Hip Hop community. It seems the rapper has been in the game for a while working on his craft. He recently gave a summary to his career journey so far.
“Landed in Jo’burg in 2006, went to UJ 2007,started working for Slikour and Shugasmaxk and Skwattacamp, dropped out in 2009, 2010 started my own production company Young Legend films, shot AKA’s video Kontrol, two years later we did RunJozi, and I dropped my own single Awuth’yam featuring AKA and Kid X,” said Yanga in a recent interview on The Rush Hour.
H e went on to say “Then did Sorry Makhe as well that year. Ever since then what did I do? I dropped an EP 2 years ago Touch Is A Move EP and then last year I dropped Neighborhood Genius. That’s just to sum it up, but you know also Metro Award winning, Best video”.
