NOTA Defends Riky Rick Against 2Pac Comparisons. Riky Rick’s passing has indicated a massive loss to the SA hip hop culture and the music industry at large. Riky took his life on Wednesday after suffering from severe depression. Rappers, fans, and other peers in the music industry have poured out their condolences to the passing away of the iconic artist.
Riky Rick was popular for showing love to everyone and he is believed to be someone who respected family values. NOTA who also had a close relationship with Riky called for people to uphold the late rapper’s values. The music mogul has urged people to stop comparing Riky with artists who did not have the same values as him.
Taking to Twitter, NOTA detailed that there should be no sort of comparison between Riky Rick and the late US rapper 2Pac. “Don’t make the mistake of tainting my brother’s legacy in the shadow of a man without Family Values who got himself killed gang banging in Vegas. Pac never lived to invest in black dreams, created sustainable businesses to inspire an entire generation who will honour him forever!” Tweeted NOTA.
NOTA’s remarks came after Ambitiouz posted a picture of Boss Zonke on their Instagram page comparing Boss Zonke to the American rapper 2Pac. “2Pac of our times. No one comes close to you. Your impact will forever be unmatched. A true Culture King ?. #RIPRickyRick ?” Wrote Ambitiouz Entertainment.
