Blaklez Urges Entertainers & Promoters To Use Their Influence To Fight The Rapid Increase Of Covid-19 Cases. Rapper Blaklez has addressed the topic that is no longer people’s concern even when it should. Most people have forgotten that we still battling an incurable pandemic. Lez set out a reminder.
As recorded from the 24th of November, the total number of cases since the Virus hit the country are sitting on 829 000 total cases, from those 755 000 have recovered but there’s been a rising number of deaths currently at 22 574. Blaklez expressed his concern on how people are taking for granted the spread of the virus. In the same sentence, the rapper shared how entertainers need to do better.
“Covid numbers look bad. Only so much government can do. We need to do better, all of us. Otherwise we endanger ourselves and those around us. If they shut down certain industries, we complain yet we refuse to be responsible. Let’s not let December excitement get the better of us.
“We as entertainers and promoters particularly need to be careful of the signals we’re sending out. Most of us have been culpable and need to start using the little influence we have to encourage our audiences to do the right thing. I know this sounds “uncool” but people are dying,” wrote the Lepara rapper.
At this point artists are focused on making up for the time they lost while people were compelled to stay indoors.
