Ruff Clears The Air On Who Produced Roll-Up & Vura. Emtee claims that his successful song Roll Up was a freestyle, yet someone claimed that they composed it for him. During the Podcast and Chill with MacG, Nhlanhla Lux also revealed that Roll Up was originally Dj Citi Lyts song.

Responding to the claims made by Nhlanhla Lux via SA Hip hop 247 Twitter post, Producer Ruff made it clear that DJ Citi Lyts was not a producer. Ruff also alluded that he is the one who produced Washa and Vura with assistance from, Lunatik and Biz Boy. Not only did he not play a part in the making of Roll-Up, but Citi Lyts was not even in the studio when the song was made.

“This is funny and sad at the same time.1st of all citi was never a producer and he never produced any song. Washa was produced by me. vura was produced by me,Lunatik and biz boy. When we made roll up he was not even in the studio.” He wrote.

However, Ruff gave credit to Citi Lyts for the role he played in shooting the music video as he gathered the right people to make the video as well as the location. “Citi played a huge role when it comes to shooting the music video. he linked us with Brian then brian linked us with Scrooch. Citi also organized the launch of the music video in cantare.” He concluded.

Roll Up has been Emtee’s breakout song has been a massive success after the song was created in a day. Upon its release, the track became an anthem song all over South Ah and beyond.
