Emtee Explains What The Reason Behind Saudi’s Long Music Hiatus Was. Saudi and Emtee’s relationship became noticeable in the public eye during their time together at Ambitiouz Entertainment. The two have made music together under the stable but Saudi has been as of lately not active in the SA hip hop space.
Saudi has been out of sight in South African hip hop, but he has finally made a comeback by dropping and featuring on a few tracks. During an interview at the just-ended Cotton Fest with Ms Cosmo and Sipho Muchindu, Emtee was asked what could’ve been the reason for Saudi taking a long music hiatus.
“I think you know that also plays a role in our personalities you know. As much as you make music we also reserved people. We understand that you know everything has seasons and every time we drop man it’s always perfect timing for some reason,” he said.
Emtee continued by applauding Saudi on his return to the music scene and praising his colleague rapper’s new music release. “Shoutout to Sauid he’s back, he’s just dropped something so yeah, “Emtee said. Emtee is currently working on his long-awaited project DIY 3 and the rapper has stated that the project will be released this year.
The Roll Up hitmaker has not said much about whether he has any features on his body of work, but a collaboration with Saudi is something SA hip-hop fans will salivate over.
