In her appearance on the L-Tido Podcast, Kamo Mphela expressed gratitude for AKA‘s acknowledgement of her in a song, particularly noting the sentimental value it held for her, especially considering the song’s release following his passing.

“I appreciated that for real, I think the craziest thing for me is both him and Costa that, when Costa passed away as well, it was like a thing of Costa mentioned me on a lot of songs. AKA did the same thing, I never thought it was really like that.

“I never thought he rated my craft like that to actually put me on a song. Because not a lot of people are on AKA’s songs, I dont think he mentions a lot of people. So that was like I think he is a GOAT, so I really appreciate that, before he checked out, I was there,” Kamo Mphela said.

The mention in “Mbuzi Freestyle” further cements Kamo Mphela’s rising trajectory in her career, contributing to her expanding repertoire of accomplishments and recognition. Through her distinct fusion of dance and music, she consistently mesmerizes audiences, affirming her position as a standout talent in South Africa’s vibrant cultural landscape.
