Recent Update On Pitch Black Afro’s Murder Case
Rapper Pitch Black Afro has been denied bail after numerous attempts of requesting being granted one so he can be released from custody.
The court has denied the bail on grounds that his release is likely to have him interfere with ongoing investigations. The magistrate, Paul du Plessis, said that evidence before the court showed there were no exceptional circumstances for bail to be granted.
Speaking after the ruling, NPA spokesperson Phindi Louw-Mjonondwane said, “We are in agreement with the court, as we have argued during the bail application, that Mr Thulani Ngcobo also faces charges of defeating the ends of justice. The state alleges that he tried to conceal evidence at the crime scene and therefore there is a likelihood that if released on bail, he will interfere with ongoing investigations.”
Court proceedings were postponed to further take place on April 12 but they haven’t even set a trial date yet.
