WATCH : Here’s What Went Down At The Verse Of The Year Awards 2018

SlikourOnLife has once again followed suit into it’s efforts of appreciating and raising the bar for SA Hip Hop by hosting yet another awards for the best verses of hip songs dropped in 2018. The winners were announced in February, and recently the publication shared what went down at the event via a video.

This year, panel of judges, including Stogie T, Zubz, Mercia Turker, and Sabelo Mkhabela, selected the winners.

Winners include Laylizzy for “TXI”, Zakwe for his verse on “Sebentin Remix”, Jovislash for “The Dagga Song”, Ginger Trill for “The High End Freestyle”, Captain for his verse on Bona V’s “The ReUp” and Reason for his verse on DJ Kaygo’s “Father Figure”, Kid Tini for “Movie”, A-Reece for “Couldn’t Have Said It Better Myself Pt. “2, Kwesta for his verse on DJ Sliqe’s “Biskop”, Nasty C for his verse on Boity’s “Wuz Dat?” and Touchline for “5 Grand” (Hennessey People’s Choice Award).
