Here Are The 5 Best SA Hip Hop Albums Nominated At The SAMA25

The date of the biggest musical award ceremony in South Africa is nearing and the nominees have been announced to open the voting lines.

South African Music Awards are aimed at recognizing accomplishments in the South African recording industry, by honoring and celebrating those groups and individuals who have excelled in the relevant entry or
qualifying period.

This year will mark the 25th year since the awards commenced. Last year it announced an introduction of new categories, Best R&B/Soul Album replaces Best R&B/Soul and Reggae Album, Best Kwaito/Gqom/Amapiano Album is the new name for Best Kwaito Album, Rest of Africa Award replaces Best African Artist.

On the Hip Hop sector, the five Best Hip Hop Albums that were selected to compete in one category include AKA’s Touch My Blood although he mentioned last year he didn’t want to be part of the SAMAs, it seems he submitted his work this time around. Nasty C’s String & Blings also made the list alongside Kid X’s Thank Da King also Emtee DIY2 lastly Jabba X’s #FGTBB.
