Scoop Makhatini Exalts Sjava’s “Isibuko” Album. Sjava took his fans on an intensely emotional journey following the release of the Isibuko album in January. As he makes a comeback with a star-studded studio album, Isibuko. The award-winning rapper gave his fans a flavour of his new songs to start off the year.

The 18-tracks body of work has received massive applause from the fans and most of Sjava’s fellow artists. Taking to Instagram, Scoop Makhatini is one of the fellow rappers who have praised the project months after its release.

Scoop said that Sjava’s project offers the much-needed healing for the soul as he went on to praise the Umama hitmaker’s band and the way he makes his music. “FOR THE YOUNG BUCKS THAT ARE STILL INTO RAP. When asked about the album and why he made it in that manner, Sjava stated that Isibuko is an album that someone can listen to alone and reflect on oneself. “I decided to make an album for someone who will listen to it by themselves, and speak to them. The music you play when you’re alone is usually not what everybody plays,” he said.

The rapper worked with a variety of musicians on the Isibuko album, drawing on the vocal talents of top-tier Mzansi performers. The features include; Emtee (My Life, with Emtee Records’ artist Lolli Native) and Saudi (Ungavumi, Amaphiko), 1020 Cartel’s Anzo (Amavaka), and Maskandi heavyweights Shwi (Ithuna), Mzukulu (Isoka, Akabuye), Inkos’yamagcokama (Akabuye), and Dumakahle (Amakhehla).

Sjava has spoken highly of the power of collaborating with artists and he advised fellow artists to work with each other. “This generation likes to see people fight, but at the same time when guys come together a lot of people will be happy than the ones who are happy when you fight,” he said. “So the issue of collaboration is very important, I always tell the guys to collaborate more, no one has his own fans, people listen to all of us so people want to see us working together,” he added.
