Reason Questions The Cussing Of Young Rappers On Mordern Songs

Rapper Reason raised his concern on modern day young rappers who throw around swear words when they rap.

The competition Tall Racks Record and Red Bull Music are working on called Lift As You releases open tracks that allow interested candidates to join the verses they came up with to complete the song.

These young rappers are expected to share their joint verses online for everyone to see and for those in charge to decide if they have succeeded. On the long list of talented aspiring rappers there was one which caught the attention of Reason who took notice of the content in his rapping which comprised more of swearing than anything else.

Reason questioned this new style of young rappers swearing in their songs by asking if they trying to mimic their ‘older idols’ who have seemingly normalized the cussing in rap songs.

“I dont know how i feel about a kid swearing like this on records or even in general. Is this normal? Am i outta touch? or is this the “mimick the idol” phase where a young person say what adults say because they think its normal?” he asked.
