Burna Boy Warns Nigerians Against Signing International Deals
Nigerian rapper and songwriter Burna Boy who has been in the industry long enough to observe the good and worse part about it – decided to give advice to upcoming fellow stars concerning signing international deals.
The multi-award winner wrote a post expressing how it saddens him when Nigerians artist sign deals from abroad but topped things up with a gratitude text and advise.
“I feel so sorry for all you Nigerians and artists jumping into these “international deals”. You guys don’t know what you’re doing. I will forver be grateful to my manager/mother for making sure I will never be an “international” VICTIM. I feel very bad for every one of you. I’m hearing some really crazy shit out here. I feel so sad for you all.”
Top Nigerian artists such as Davido, Wizkid, Tekno and Burna Boy himself have at one time signed international deals which to this day makes them highly recognized worldwide.
