Stogie T Implies That All DJs Do Is Press Play, Here’s How They Respond
Stogie T took to twitter to share his views about DJs by implying that all they do is press play when playing for artists. He was looking for clarification on what DJs think about during the play.
Stogie mentioned DJ Vigilant, DJ Fanatic, DJ Dimplez, DJ Super Nova, DJ Capital and DJ Milkshake.The DJs were more than willing to share their views on what Stogie said.
“I have always wondered what DJs think about when they are playing for an artist. Especially when all you are doing is pressing play,|” wrote the By Any Means rapper.
DJ Capital was the first to answer and clarified that DJing is more than just about playing. “it’s more than just pressing play. It’s about the overall synergy. Knowing when to cut and enhance the artist’s performance overall. Some artists have hype men, others don’t.”
“For me it should be about the synergy (artists+dj/band) the timing is important, knowing when to backup/hypeman the artist especially if they using backtracks, some could be engineers to save costs.” wrote DJ Vigilant.
