AKA may be a little less available now on social media but his presence is still felt and he makes sure he keeps it all as vibrant when he logs in for the 8 minutes he promised to spend on Twitter.
The Jiki Jiki hitmaker made an emphasis recently on Twitter that he paved the way for all SA rappers to expand their brands and take them to a level of fashion with their names printed on. A fan posted an image wearing Supa Mega’s old merch which was popular a few years back when he got in partnership with Honcho, that’s when he proved said that he paved the path that most now are following up on.
“Did this around 2012 with Honcho. That was 7 years ago. Imagine. We managed to put that in stores nationwide too. Definitely paved the way for everyone to do the same,” he wrote.
AKA is now busy with sealing an unknown deal with Reebok’s clothing brand which he recently travelled to Boston for. “Headed to Reebok Headquarters in Boston. Can’t tell you too much yet, but we’re close to pulling off something really cool and really massive for the culture.”
