Here’s Why Emtee Is Obligated To Remain At Ambitiouz Entertainment No Matter What

According to the latest report by City Press rapper Mthembeni Ndevu famously known as Emtee will not be leaving anytime soon at his record label Ambitiouz Entertainment.

Last week a large number of people on social media campaigned for Emtee to be released from his label after he made a public outcry on his unhappiness about how he’s been managed as an artist. The rapper highlighted that the label doesn’t allow him to expand and practise his creative freedom as a musician.

On his last interview with TshisaLIVE he mentioned that his boss doesn’t want him to leave.

“Ambitiouz owner Kgosi Mahumapelo doesn’t want me to leave, but it isn’t up to him and I made it clear that I want a new start. If I do things the right way, I believe that it will be resolved. I still wanna make music. I have been through the most and I am unbreakable. I am not angry or mad. I will get through this.” Said the Roll Up hitmaker.

On recent reports it was stated that Emtee still owes the label millions which will make it hard for him to leave as abruptly as he wants.

“Sometimes you work with people you disagree or agree with and it’s okay. Business is business. I am not going to let people take advantage of the situation.” — Emtee in a recent interview with City Press.

Sources close to the situation have indicated that the real reason why the rapper cannot be granted leave to terminate his contract with Ambitiouz is that he allegedly owes the label millions of rand. It is believed that Emtee has not been able to repay the advance he was awarded by the label
