Reasons Tekashi69 Might Reportedly Decline Witness Protection Upon His Release. It has been almost a year now since the arrest of 23 year old rapper Tekashi69 who has been going trial since the beginning of the year.

Recently he spent three days in court on the stand testifying against his former gang members in return for a 5k letter which could release him from jail as early as the beginning of next year.

What 69 did put his life in danger, for that reason the state was willing to provide witness protection but he might decline.

According to TMZ, Tekashi will undergo witness protection participation and hire 24/7 security instead. It has been stated by the rapper that he intends on resuming his rap career through the money he saved up prior his arrest. Sources report that Tekashi is still keen on returning to his old life as a rapper.

While behind bars, 69 dropped Dummy Boy, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
