Gigi Lamayne releases Job Woods

Gigi Lamayne releases Job Woods, her much anticipated 10 track EP titled with hit tracks like Bozza which she released earlier this year and is currently enjoying success in the SA Top 50 radio charts and her most recent offering Fufa has just reached over 500 thousand streams on YouTube with the official music video.

Job Woods is more than just a title. The multi-award-winning artist was inspired by the book of Job, a story of a man who lost everything yet remained committed to his faith, and Tiger Woods’ magnificent return to professional golf after a long hiatus.

Since the beginning of 2019, Gigi has manifested a ruthless determination to convey her talent to the world. With a documentary release in the pipeline, she explains her plans for the multifaceted release: “This is the art project before the album in which I tell my life story and my struggle with depression. My story is why people connect with my music. I’m here, determined as ever.”

The EP release follows in the wake of the recent collaboration released as a pre release single featuring Youngsta CPT and 25K – Jou Stad, which has been at the pole position on iTunes in South Africa this month. The collaboration exhibits the diversity of rapping styles in South African hip-hop as the Cape Town and Pretoria based rappers bring their unique flavours to the track.

Commenting on the collaboration process with Gigi, YoungstaCPT remarks “Being that it was our first time working together it had to be significant and whatever we did had to be strong. I believe that repping our cities on a track was the best way to show our uniqueness and our similarities too. People really dig the song so it was clearly the right move.”
