Kid Tini is currently busy pushing his latest singles Wedwa and Get Money which features Styles P and Stogie T, on a recent interview with Slikour he elaborated on the meaning behind the songs and the inspiration behind them.
The single Wedwa comprises of a pop and R&B sound, describing the reasons behind sampling other genres the rapper said he felt it was time to accommodate a different audience with his music and not be limited only to rap.
“The label (Ambitiouz Entertainment) made me aware that I wasn’t touching on all the audience, also where I am from I realised that I had to accommodate people cause they may not relate to some of the things I rap.”
He further spoke about how the collaboration with Styles P came about. “We actually heard that Styles was gonna be in the country for a little bit, as soon we heard that we were like yoh we gotta link up. We already had the Stogie rap, it was just me and Stogie at the time. We linked up in Durban, went in studio and it wasn’t even 5 minutes after he heard the beat that he got up and recorded his verse,” he added.
The rapper went on to discuss more about the music he is working on and announced that soon enough he will be dropping the music video of the single Wedwa.
