On a recent interview with Helen Herimbi Stogie T opened up about how and where he grew up also the influence all that has had on his adult life and how it impacted his music.
The interview played a huge role in giving fans a different side of Stogie which also saw him decipher a few of his past quotes. “A poet emcee, an OG, and I would say; a poster child for reinvention,” Helen introduced Stogie to the audience.
“My mom and Dad were obviously in the movements, they were misbehaving out here so it was unsafe for them to be here (South Africa) they had to leave. Tanzania is like a non front line state. Exiled children would be born on the outside camps, there’ll be settlements there and that’s why I was born there,” he said.
The rapper also answers why his mother was more present and committed to his life than his father.
