You Have Until The 9th to submit your beat for Riky Rick and Rémy Martin next South African Producer Gig

Remy Producers, the music platform that has been taking the US by storm, is coming to South Africa. Premium cognac brand, Rémy Martin, announced today that it will be linking with acclaimed artist, Riky Rick, to search for the country’s hottest up-and-coming producer. This producer will win a once-in-a-lifetime, career-making chance to work with Rick, producing and co-signing on a track with him.

Remy Producers has already been running for five seasons in the USA, the latest featuring global superstars Big Sean and Mustard. Past seasons have featured other big names, including Timberland and Wyclef Jean. The brand hopes to replicate this success in South Africa.

“We believe that this will be the biggest and most exciting music platform to hit South Africa to date. We want to discover and celebrate emerging music producers and we are excited to see what talent will be uncovered.  And we don’t believe we could have partnered with anyone better than Riky Rick – he really is at the top of his game, and serves as an inspiration and mentor to many in the music scene,” explains Jerome Adonis, Rémy Martin South Africa Marketing Manager.

“We believe in supporting the process of music making, as well as championing talents and creativity. It speaks to our belief as a brand that anything – whether that be making music or cognac – is most successful when done collaboratively,” he continues.

Speaking on the collaboration, Riky Rick said, “I’m so excited to be working on this with Rémy Martin. I’m looking for the hottest new tracks form anyone out there, whether a first-time beat maker, or new producer. So, I’m calling on all producers to submit their beats – this really is a chance to get yourself noticed and kickstart your career. I can’t wait to see what is out there.”

To enter, producers need to submit their best beat to www.remyproducers.co.za before 7 July 2019.

Shortlisted producers will get a chance to battle it out in regional finals, after which a Grand Finale event will choose who gets to win the once-in-a-lifetime prize. These events will be open to competition winners and some members of the public on a first-come, first served basis, who can sign up in advance. The events are scheduled as follows:

  • Johannesburg: 26 July
  • Durban: 9 August
  • Cape Town: 23 August
  • Grand Finale (Johannesburg): 6 September

Only one producer will receive the coveted co-sign that could change everything.
