Emtee Details Plans To Grow Emtee Records Into More Than Just A Record Label. Multi award winning rapper Emtee has worked tirelessly on his music throughout his career. After being signed to Ambitiouz Entertainment in the early stages of his career, he decided it was time to start his own record label and be his own boss.

Emtee Speaks On His Mental State While Making His 'Logan' Album

Emtee started up Emtee Records and signed two other rappers, Flash iKumkani and Lolli Native who have had their fair share of success. Together the three rappers have toured South Africa together performing their music for fans and have even featured on each other’s music.

The Long Way rapper recently sat down with Drum Magazine to speak about his his recently released album Logan named after his youngest son. Emtee also got into what inspired the album and how he has grown in his faith. Emtee also spoke about what his future plans are for his independent record label saying that he hopes to grow it bigger than just a music label and has aspirations to turn it into a media agency too. He also hopes that he can turn start up a union for creatives on the continent.

My dream is to help and discover fresh new talent and I would love to venture into sports management. Maybe sign a few pro athletes to Emtee records as their Media Agency and lastly to own a union for the rights of all creatives in our continent.” He said.

Previously speaking about what it takes to run an independent record label, Emtee mentioned that it has been difficult but he has been managing it as best as he can. He mentioned that his wife has been assisting him with the day-to-day running of the company.

The rapper has been having an amazing year so far with his album being well received by SA Hip Hop fans. His track Long Way also scored a spot as the biggest song on the continent, surpassing Wizkid’s Essence.
